  • Three unidentified black males

Description of Incident:

The owner of a Pompano Beach food mart is offering a $5,000 reward for information that may lead to the arrest of three armed suspects who stole several thousand dollars from his store during last week’s armed robbery.

Employees and customers at the Total Food Mart, located at 251 South Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach, experienced some very tense moments when three men burst through the front door of the store armed with handguns and demanded cash on Friday, December 13th at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Fortunately no one was seriously injured and the incident was caught on tape. The first unidentified male, who stood about five feet nine inches and weighing approximately 160 pounds, grabbed a stock clerk and pointed the gun at the clerk’s head. The second suspect, who is about six feet tall and 175 pounds, confronted the owner near the cash register and told the other victims to get down on the floor. When he wasn’t able to open the register, he forced one of the clerks to open it. While the third suspect grabbed a customer by his shirt and forced him down on the counter at gunpoint.

The crooks got away with a substantial amount of money, but detectives are not disclosing the exact amount. Witnesses said the three unidentified black males fled in a small 4-door, silver car, possibly a Ford model.

Anyone with information on the identities and/or whereabouts of the three unidentified black males is urged to call BSO Robbery Det. John Donadio at (954) 786-4553 or call Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (954) 493-TIPS. As always, a reward up to $1,000, in addition to the $5,000 from the store’s owner, is being offered in this case.
