A 20-year-old Kissimmee man has been charged with Lewd and Lascivious Molestation for assaulting a 14-year-old girl, taken Monday from a school bus stop in Pompano Beach.

Juvencio Montes Maldonado was taken into custody early today at a Kissimmee motel where he was sharing a room with the juvenile. The recovery resulted from an intensive joint effort involving the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Kissimmee Police Department and the Osceola Sheriff’s Office.

Maldonado, known also as “Mancho,” was booked at the Osceola County Jail on the two felony molestation counts. His bond was set at $5000. If convicted on those charges, Maldonado could be sentenced to 30 years in prison and fined $20,000. Additionally, the Broward Sheriff’s Office is charging him with False Imprisonment, a third degree felony punishable by five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
