Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives have arrested three men in a shooting that had partygoers running for cover on Saturday in West Park.

Around 2:50 a.m. July 22, the suspects parked a dark-colored vehicle at the intersection of Southwest 48th Avenue and 20th Street. Cambrell Smart and Braxton Davis got out of the vehicle near the intersection. Smart, 23, fired a shot in the air, and then he and Davis shot at the people who had gathered for the outdoor party.

A man who was injured was transported by Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Homicide detectives are temporarily withholding his name.

On July 24, BSO deputies arrested Braxton Davis, 22; Tony Hall, 26; and Cambrell Smart, 23. They each face an attempted murder charge. Davis and Smart also face charges for violation of probation as felons in possession of a weapon.
