Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff's Office Homicide detectives are investigating the deaths of two men whose bodies were found this morning in their fifth floor room at the Inverrary Plaza Resort in Lauderhill.

The deceased were discovered at around 11:00 am on Monday, August 05, 2002, when a resort employee went to check on the men who had not been heard from since late Thursday or early Friday of the previous week.

Both men were found lying next to each other in the room they had shared at the resort. Detectives say the men, one 54-years old the other 49-years old, had lived at the property for approximately eighteen months. An employee of the property said about 40 of the more than 200 rooms are privately owned as condominiums. He said the other rooms are owned by the resort and rented out.

BSO investigators, who are withholding the names of the victims until next of kin is notified, say there were no signs of forced entry into the room and no outward signs of violence. However, due to the advanced stage of decay of the bodies, the Medical Examiner will have to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

The investigation into this case is continuing.
