BURGLARS SWIPE CONSTRUCTION TOOLS

Date: June 30, 2017                                      PIO Number: 17-6-24

Two males who broke into an office trailer and whisked away thousands of dollars of equipment are being sought by Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives.

It was June 5, a Monday morning, when workers at CCK Construction noticed their office had been burglarized over the weekend. The trailer is located at 501 N.W. 10th St., Dania Beach.

In the clear surveillance video, the suspects can be seen and heard walking up to the trailer presumably to see if it’s unlocked. Both suspects leave and return a short time later. This time one of the burglars has a crow bar in hand and a white covering over his face to cloak his identity. Once the door is breached the two enter the construction company’s trailer.

They both go into one office and the second suspect, who has a camouflage jacket draped on his head, emerges with a hefty tool in hand. He takes it out to their waiting vehicle while the other burglar looks for more equipment to steal. At one point, the camouflaged suspect returns to the trailer and asks if his buddy is “about ready” to go.

In the video, one suspect is wearing a neon safety vest, a hoodie, beige pants, a hat, and a white covering on the lower part of his face. The other suspect has on a blue and white striped shirt, pants, a camouflage jacket and white sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BSO Det. Greg Murphy at 954-359-1297. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org. Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
