Description of Incident:

Detectives from the Broward Sheriff's Office Traffic Homicide Unit have developed new information in last month’s hit-and-run of a 50-year old Deerfield Beach woman. Still, investigators are asking for anyone with information on this horrific crime to come forward.

Dr. Teresa Brennan was reportedly struck shortly before 2:00 a.m. on December 10, 2002, in the southbound lane as she crossed the street in the 900 block of SE 2nd Avenue near her Deerfield Beach home. She is now on life support at a private long-term care facility in Broward County.

Based on evidence left at the scene by the suspect vehicle, BSO investigators now say that Dr. Brennan, a professor at Florida Atlantic University, was hit and severely injured by someone driving a 1995 to 1997 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck or Blazer SUV, or GMC Sonoma pickup truck or Jimmy SUV of indeterminate color. The suspect vehicle would have sustained damage to its front passenger side.

Images of Chevrolet vehicles comparable to the suspect vehicles in this case are attached to this news release as it appears on the BSO website at www.sheriff.org.
The GMC versions of the suspect vehicles would be nearly identical.

Anyone with information on this case should call Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
A reward of up to $1,000.00 is being offered for anonymous information on this case.
