  • three unidentified males (surveillance video attached)

Description of Incident:

A team of three burglars broke into a Pompano Beach restaurant only to find there was nothing worth taking. Broward Sheriff's Office investigators are looking for the unidentified men caught on surveillance video.

Three burglars used a baseball-sized rock to break the front door of Subs, Subs, Subs, a restaurant off Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach. Once inside, the men went straight for the cash register but found it empty. The three fled without anything to show for their efforts.

Despite attempting to cover their faces with towels, all three men were captured by the restaurant’s surveillance cameras during the break-in. The suspects are black males ranging in age from 18-25, and all between 5’10” and 6’ in height. One of the thieves has shoulder-length dreadlocks.

In the past two months there have been 16 similar crimes committed by a team of three men. They have targeted restaurants and small businesses in Pompano Beach and other nearby cities. It is unclear at this time if all the break-ins were committed by the same group of men.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detective James Pedre at 954-786-4242 or report anonymous tips to Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or to www.browardcrimestoppers.org online. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
