Hundreds of employment opportunities now available at BSO

The scheduled opening of a new Broward Sheriff's Office jail facility in the first quarter of 2003 has helped create at least 250 employment opportunities in the agency’s Department of Detention and Community Control. BSO is now seeking qualified applicants to fill these positions which include an outstanding benefits package, opportunities for advancement within the agency and a chance to be part of America’s largest nationally accredited sheriff’s department.,To be considered for a position with BSO, applicants must:

  • be at least 19 years of age
  • be a citizen of the United States
  • possess a high school diploma or the equivalent
  • have no felony convictions as an adult
  • possess a valid Florida driver’s license
