Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide detectives are asking the public for help in catching a killer who left one dead and another wounded following a Friday night shooting in Oakland Park.

Detectives have also released the names of the victims. Wilfrid Singer, Jr., 28, of Lauderhill was killed and Brandon Bivins, 25, was wounded inside his home.

At 8:17 pm Friday, neighbors called 911 and reported hearing gunfire at the house at 2670 NW 26th Avenue. BSO deputies responded to the single-family home and found that Singer and Bivins had been shot inside. Both were rushed to Broward General Medical Center where Singer was declared dead shortly after arrival and Bivins was taken into surgery for treatment of gunshot wounds.

Detectives believe an unknown suspect drove to the house, opened fire on the two men, and then drove away in a 2002 silver-gray Mercury Mountaineer SUV. A motive for the shooting remains undetermined.

The suspect is described as a black male, about six-feet tall with a stocky build and a light complexion, probably in his mid to late 20s. He was wearing a white tee shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with any information regarding the suspect or his getaway car is urged to call the Broward Sheriff's Office at 765-4321 or CrimeStoppers, anonymously, at 493-TIPS.
