PIO# 12-12-10

Broward Sheriff’s Office robbery detectives are looking for two men who robbed a Pompano Beach 7-Eleven store, hitting a clerk on the back with a rifle as they ordered him to the floor. Surveillance cameras captured the robbery, which happened just after 3 a.m. Nov. 13 at 290 Copans Rd. in Pompano Beach  One robber was tall and thin with a long-sleeve, blue shirt, khaki pants and a blue stocking over his face. He was armed with a rifle. The second was about 5-foot-3 with a mustache, a black skull cap and a black shirt. He appeared to be in his early 30s.

They walked in and headed right to the register. The shorter robber ordered everyone to the floor, while the taller man dragged one employee behind the counter and told him to open the register. Once the employee complied, the robber hit him in the back with the gun and told him to get on the floor. The two criminals fled with money from the register. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue evaluated the employee for injuries, though he was not transported to the hospital.
