Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff's Office Robbery detectives are releasing surveillance video taken during the President’s Day weekend in the hopes of identifying an armed suspect who robbed a Texaco Gas station in Oakland Park.

At about 10:30 p.m. on February 16th, the armed robbery suspect entered the Alpha Texaco Service Station, located at 1598 East Oakland Park Boulevard, and demanded cash from the clerk. The unidentified black male walked behind the counter and gave the clerk a glimpse of a handgun he was carrying in the waist of his pants. The clerk complied by opening the drawer to the register. The cigar-smoking suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash before calmly walking out of the store.

The suspect is believed to be in his 30’s, about six feet tall, approximately 220 pounds, clean-shaven with black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans, and a blue hat.
