BSO AND WALGREENS TEAM UP TO GET 100 STUDENTS STOCKED FOR SCHOOL
De-Lise La Meaux and Naby Baig, both of the Broward Sheriff’s Office Child Protective Investigative Section, join Carolina Costa of Walgreens (at left) Friday to help organize 100 supply-stuffed backpacks for children. Walgreens donated the backpacks, which were filled with notebooks, paper, pens, pencils, index cards, folders, erasers, sharpeners and text book covers. The donation was worth about $6,000. Families identified by CPIS workers picked up the backpacks, which put satisfied smiles on the faces of children and parents preparing for the first day of the new school year.
