DAYTIME BURGLARS SWIPE ASSAULT RIFLE AS SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS ROLL

PIO# 12-8-32

Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for three men who were caught by surveillance cameras breaking into a home where they stole an assault rifle from a bedroom. The burglary happened around 8:50 a.m. July 30 at 2290 S.W. 44th St. in Dania Beach. Initially, a man in a white tank top and long, baggy red shorts knocks on the front door and peeps through a front window to see if anyone is home. He is joined by two accomplices – one in a tank top and pants and one in all black - outside of a sliding glass door leading to the home’s master bedroom. One breaks the glass and the three go in, spending about two minutes rummaging around inside before emerging with an AK-47. All three burglars wore gloves. Although the view by the sliding glass door was partially blocked by a wasps’ nest, the video clearly shows all three criminals.

Anyone with information can report it to BSO Det. Abraham Cremidis at (954) 518-0158 or at Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493–TIPS (8477) or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
