TIRE VANDALS STRIKE AGAIN IN DEERFIELD

Operating in the shadows of darkness, a roving gang of vandals damaged dozens more vehicles Thursday evening in Deerfield Beach.

Tires on 38 vehicles were damaged beyond repair last night in two separate attacks.

Since early November, the criminals have punctured the sidewalls of tires on more than a thousand vehicles from Palm Beach County to Plantation. The damage they’ve caused has cost vehicle owners thousands of dollars in replacement and towing charges.

The Broward Sheriff's Office is making strong strides in efforts to close in on the gang of vandals. BSO investigators are holding regular meetings with other law enforcement personnel as part of an on-going, inter-agency effort to catch those behind the attacks.

A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the rash of tire damage. Anyone with information on these vandals should call Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
