Broward Sheriff’s Office robbery detectives have released surveillance video of a frightening robbery at a Pompano Beach AT&T store in November. At first glance, the three men appear in the store to be everyday customers. One in a camouflage pants and a reflective security vest browses through cell phone accessories on a wall while the other two sit on stools seemingly waiting patiently for the clerk to wait on them. But the situation changes abruptly when the suspect facing the wall slips on sunglasses and slowly reaches under his shirt for a gun and points it at the 29-year-old clerk. She later told detectives that as he pointed the tip of the gun at her neck, he instructed her to continue speaking in a normal tone and to say nothing of the robbery or he would shoot her. The three suspects and the clerk went to the safe room where two of the robbers filled a garbage bag with new cell phones while the third kept watch. Then they left through a back door. BSO detectives say they may have fled in a black sedan. All three appear to be in their early 30s. The suspect with the gun and the reflective vest was about 6’ tall and 250 pounds. The second suspect was about 5-foot-7 and wearing a dark blue work shirt, similar to what a mechanic might wear, with dark blue pants. And the third was thin and about 5-foot-6 in white pants and a dark hooded sweatshirt. All three wore baseball caps and sunglasses.  The robbery happened around 10:25 a.m. Nov. 20 at the AT&T store at 1227 S. Federal Hwy., Pompano Beach. Anyone with information about this crime can report it to BSO robbery Det. Steven Hoover at (954) 321-4270 or report anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS (8477) or online at Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for tips that lead to an arrest.
