WOMAN KILLED IN SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH

DEPUTY ON PATROL HEARD CRASH

Description of Incident:

A Plantation woman was killed in an early morning crash after her vehicle struck a tree in Tamarac.

Amanda Anderson, 28, was driving north in the 7400 block of North Pine Island Road when her vehicle, a 2011 Huyundai Santa Fe, struck a curb and traveled through a swale 200 feet before striking a tree.

A BSO Tamarac District deputy on patrol at the time heard the crash and immediately responded to the scene. Tamarac Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the driver deceased on the scene. BSO traffic homicide detectives are conducting the crash investigation.

The Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
