BSO INVESTIGATES HOMICIDE AT DANIA BEACH MOTEL 6

Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are working to solve the murder of an unidentified black male who was found dead inside a Dania Beach motel room.

Shortly after 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, BSO District 2 deputies were called out to the Motel 6, located at 825 East Dania Beach Blvd. According to the motel manager, one of his employees discovered the deceased victim when she entered Room #269 to provide maid service.

The victim is a black male, possibly in his late 30s to early 40s. BSO homicide detectives still do not have a motive, cause of death or verifiable identification on the victim who may have checked himself in back on October 24th.

Detectives are still working to interview other motel guests and continue to process the scene. The body was taken to the Broward Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.
