HELP NEEDED TO IDENTIFY JANE DOE

BSO ASKS FOR HELP IDENTIFYING WOMAN HIT BY CAR

Help is needed identifying a woman critically injured after being hit by a car last night in Oakland Park.

She was struck while trying to cross E. Commercial Boulevard in the 600 block at approximately 8:20 pm on December 19, 2001.

While trying to cross from the north side of Commercial to the south side of the busy road, she was struck by a 1997 Lincoln traveling at about 25-30 miles an hour in the eastbound lanes of Commercial Boulevard. She was taken to Broward General Trauma Center and no charges are pending against the driver.

The victim is between 35 and 45 years old, approximately 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-8, 115 pounds, has brown eyes, and shoulder-length brown hair with gray streaks. She was wearing a blue short-sleeved blouse, blue jeans, and khaki flip-flops. On her left ring finger was a gold band. She has a partial dental bridge to replace a missing front, left tooth.

The only item detectives found on her, was a pack of KOOL cigarettes.
