The Broward Sheriff’s Office will welcome career-oriented job seekers at its Detention Deputy Sheriffs Career Fair on Tuesday, January 21st, 2003.

BSO is expanding and has many exciting opportunities for people who want to make a difference and build rewarding careers. BSO has various job openings within its Department of Detention.

Anyone interested in joining one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the southeastern United States, must be a U.S. citizen, at least 19 years old, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants should not have been convicted of any felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement as an adult. They must also have a valid Florida driver’s license showing a current address. Applicants for law enforcement positions should be in good physical condition. No experience is required.

Applicants will be required to bring $55 cash that will cover all testing fees. Those interested must also submit a driving history report dating back seven years and obtained from a local courthouse.
