In a ceremony planned for Tuesday afternoon, Sheriff Al Lamberti will promote 15 men and women to leadership positions and swear in about two dozen new members of the Fire Rescue Reserve Unit.

“These employees have worked hard and proven to be good leaders,” Sheriff Al Lamberti said. “I always take pride in promoting our people, and I thank them for their continued service.”

Director Wiley Thompson will be promoted to colonel.

Captain Fernando Gajate will be promoted to major.

Five deputies, David Ellwood, Tammy Measel, Daniel Mellies, Noel Mercado and Donald Prichard, all from the Department of Law Enforcement, will be promoted to the rank of sergeant. Sergeant Rodney Brimlow will be promoted to lieutenant.

Within the Department of Fire Rescue, Robert Reed will rise to captain, and Grant Lasseter, Holly Peters and Scott Pollard will be promoted to lieutenant.

From the Law Enforcement Reserve Unit, Keith Critelli will be promoted to lieutenant, while deputies Tomer Nadler and Juan Ulloa will advance to sergeant.
