DETECTIVES DISCOVER AND DISMANTLE GROW HOUSE IN OAKLAND PARK DUPLEX

Detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Team in Oakland Park served a search warrant Tuesday morning at an Oakland Park duplex and discovered 152 thriving marijuana plants inside.

The plants varied in size from seedlings to about five feet tall and filled five rooms of the house. Each was growing in an individual garden pot with soil. The investigation into the grow house is ongoing. At least two people are likely to face charges of cultivation of marijuana, trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. The address of the house is 4543 N.E. 16 Ave., Oakland Park.
