Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff’s Office robbery detectives are trying to track down a violent armed robber who has been identified as a participant in two terrifying robberies, an armed carjacking, and a shooting.

Detectives have learned that on March 9th, Jamel Little and several cohorts were involved in robbing John Hill as he stepped out of his car in the driveway of his home at 3511 NW 9th Court near Ft. Lauderdale. Hill was chased into the backyard, pistol-whipped, and robbed of several hundred dollars in cash.

The ongoing investigation revealed that on March 13th, Little took part in the robbery of the Hong Kong City restaurant, located at 5301 N State Road 7 in Tamarac. Money was stolen from the register and safe. Within minutes he and his cohorts apparently got what they wanted and fled the scene.

Little has also been linked to an armed robbery/carjacking that took place on March 21st at 610 NW 7th Street in Pompano Beach. Anthony Matthews was kidnapped by three armed men, who drove him several miles from the scene and robbed him along the way. They then shoved him out of the car and stole the vehicle.

Additionally, investigators have connected Little to a March 23rd shooting that took place at 1900 NW 9th Avenue in the City of Ft. Lauderdale.

Little did not act alone during any of the incidents. Many of his cohorts have already been arrested, yet he remains on the loose and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information leading to the arrest of Jamel Little is eligible to receive a reward of up to $1000 for anonymously providing the information to Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A photo of Little is available on the BSO website at
