BURGLARS SLIP INTO DEERFIELD BEACH FISH MARKET

PIO# 13-12-28

A group of slippery bandits set off the motion detectors at a Deerfield Beach fish market capturing on video the proof of their crime.  Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are releasing the images hoping to identify the suspects.

Shortly after 6 p.m on Dec. 14, the four suspects are seen arriving at Pop’s Fish Market at 131 W. Hillsboro Blvd.  Three of the men exit a dark-colored, Volkswagen Touareg SUV and are seen walking around the exterior of the business.  Around 6:25 p.m., the suspects throw a rock through the front, glass door and slip inside.  The video shows the trio searching for valuables throughout the store.  Once they find the register’s cash drawer is empty, they leave the store empty handed.  The business owner was left to clean up their mess, which added up to more than $800.

Anyone with information about the suspects, the suspect vehicle and driver or this burglary is asked to contact BSO Detective Nicole Layog at 954-480-4300.  Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org.

***MEDIA NOTE:  Clear video of the burglary is available through our website www.sheriff.org.
