Description of Incident:

An Oakland Park resident’s home security camera captured footage of a man who stole electronics from her unlocked car while it was parked in her driveway. Broward Sheriff’s Office Oakland Park detectives are searching for this thief whom they believe may have also been involved in other car burglaries.

The morning of May 23, Aisha Jones’ home security camera recorded an unidentified man as he rummaged through her car and stole her Magellan GPS system. The victim’s black BMW X3 was parked in her driveway in Oakland Park during the incident. Oakland Park detectives are searching for a black male with short hair and either a birthmark or tattoo on the left side of his face. He was wearing a light-colored hoodie and tan shorts.
