Description of Incident:

Two Broward youth are facing some very serious charges after a Grand Jury indicted them as adults one month after they raped a Pompano Beach girl.

On April 16, 2002 at approximately 4 p.m., the victim was returning home from walking her dog when the two suspects accosted her. They then forced their way into her Pompano Beach duplex. Courtney Robinson and Jasper Jenkins, both armed with knifes they retrieved from the kitchen, sexually assaulted the 13-year-old victim.

Immediately after the suspects fled the residence, the victim called her mother at work to tell her what happened. Broward Sheriff's Office deputies were called, and the teenage victim was transported to the Sexual Assault Treatment Center in Fort Lauderdale where evidence of the brutal crime was documented.

BSO Sex Crimes detectives arrested Jenkins the day of the incident, and Robinson was arrested the next day. Both were transported to the Broward County Juvenile Detention Center. Following Thursday’s (5/16/17) grand jury indictment the suspects were transported to BSO’s Main Jail. Both are being held without bond. Robinson is charged with two counts of armed sexual battery, armed kidnapping, and burglary with battery. Jenkins is charged with armed sexual battery, armed kidnapping, and burglary with battery.
