WOMAN'S BODY FOUND IN POMPANO BEACH LAKE

Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman found in a Pompano Beach lake.

Around 2 p.m. Aug. 6, a man fishing with his family in the 1100 block of Southwest 46th Avenue discovered the unidentified woman in the water. BSO's deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. BSO's Crime Scene Unit also came to the scene.

BSO's homicide detectives are working with Broward County's medical examiner to identify the woman.
