Description of Incident:

The driver of a 2013 Hyundai Sonata was killed Saturday morning in Cooper City when his car struck a median, rolled over and then crashed into a tree. Broward Sheriff's Office Traffic Homicide investigators are working to determine what caused the accident.

Brendon Bachelor was traveling westbound on Stirling Road approaching Southwest 110 Avenue at a high rate of speed. The driver's car struck the raised concrete median with the driver-side tires. The car traveled over the median into the eastbound lanes. The driver over-corrected causing the vehicle to rotate clockwise. The car again struck the raised curb, which caused the car to roll over through the grass median. The vehicle finally struck a tree and came to rest.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to the scene. The driver was pronounced dead on scene at 4:13 am.
