FREE SAFETY DAY/CAR SEAT CHECKS
11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, September 21
Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet
1801 W. Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, BSO, Pompano Beach Fire Rescue, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital at Memorial and Safe Kids Broward County will team up with Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet for National Seat Check Saturday at the dealership.

As part of Child Passenger Safety Week, which runs from September 15-21, certified car seat installation technicians will install and/or inspect your car seat, making sure it’s properly installed. In addition to car seat safety instruction, there will be fun activities for children and equipment displays by BSO and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue. The best part about the event- it’s fun and free!

According to Safe Kids Worldwide, 73 percent of car seats are installed incorrectly. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue’s life safety educators provide over 500 annual car seat safety checks at fire-rescue facilities and community events. Additionally, car seat safety checks are offered at many BSO law enforcement district offices.

If you can’t make the safety day event and want to schedule an appointment for a free car seat safety check, call the BSFR life safety educators at 954-831-8210 or visit www.sheriff.org for more safety tips and information.
