Description of Incident:

A trio of thieves managed to distract employees at a Chevron gas station in Oakland Park long enough to steal over $7,000.

The group of unidentified suspects, one male and two females, performed a well-orchestrated distraction-style theft at the Chevron convenience store on Oakland Park Blvd. in Oakland Park. The three criminals entered the store separately at 12:15 p.m., on July 5, 2013. The suspects then distracted the three store employees with different well-timed requests, in order to gain access to the manager’s office.  The unidentified robbers stole $7,661 in cash and left the store separately, two on foot and one in a silver GMC Yukon XL.

These thieves appeared to have the elements of the crime well-rehearsed and may be involved in other similar crimes.
