  • Raimundo Modia, male, 34, 8/5/77, 5355 S.W. 68th Ave., Miami (DECEASED)

  • Nalio Williams, male, 35, 5/10/76, Hialeah (WANTED)

Description of Incident:

When Raimundo Modia arrived at a West Park warehouse on Dec. 22 in the hopes of selling his high-end luxury Mercedes, he didn’t know that the prospective buyer was a career criminal. Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives say Modia was shot several times during the meeting and died at the warehouse. Detectives obtained a warrant for the arrest of Nalio Williams for first-degree murder. They are also releasing a composite sketch of a man who witnesses saw with Williams moments after the shooting.

Modia, 34, is survived by a 5-year-old son. Detectives are asking for the public’s help locating Williams, who is considered armed and dangerous and believed to still be in South Florida. Williams has been arrested for identity theft and fraud in the past and homicide detectives believe he is using his brother’s name, Adrian Ivey, as an alias.

Williams left a stolen white Toyota Tundra at the shooting scene. The tag on that vehicle was registered to a man in northern Florida whose identity had been stolen, and the vehicle itself was registered to another man in Winter Garden. Modia’s Mercedes was discovered the following day abandoned in Miami Gardens.

Anyone with information about the identity of the man in the composite sketch, Nalio Williams or the shooting can contact BSO Detective Shane Schroeder at 954-321-4210 or report information anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS (8477) or online at Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for an anonymous tip that leads to an arrest.

Media note: The composite sketch of the person of interest as well as a 2010 mug shot of Nalio Williams is attached to this release.
