Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating the murder of an unidentified black male thought to be in his early to mid 20’s whose body was found in the parking lot of a small strip mall in the 5700 block of W. Hallandale Beach Boulevard.

At approximately 5:43pm on November 12, 2001, District 1 deputies were dispatched on a call of “shots fired” near a strip mall at 5705 W. Hallandale Beach Boulevard. When the first deputy arrived on the scene at about 5:45pm, he found the body of an unidentified black male lying in a pool of blood in the parking lot of the mall.

Witnesses report seeing several black males running from the scene and fleeing in two vehicles shortly after the shots were heard. The suspects fled in a white Toyota Corolla and a black Ford
F-150 pick-up truck.
