A Tamarac neighborhood was awakened by the sound of gunfire early Wednesday (Oct. 3) morning.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received calls of shots fired at the Sun Vista Gardens Apartments, 5060 Rock Island Rd., around 3:18 AM. Responding deputies found a male dead in the parking lot. BSO deputies immediately began to canvass the area looking for potential suspect by ground and air, but no suspect was located.
