BSO SEARCHES FOR VIOLENT GOLD ROBBER

Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for a man who tried to rip a gold necklace forcefully from a man’s neck at a drugstore in Pompano Beach.

Sandor Kobler, 58, was standing by the sliding doors at his local Walgreens reading the paper when he was suddenly confronted by a man who violently yanked at the gold chain around his neck. The unidentified man was captured on surveillance video as he casually walked up to his victim and then aggressively pulled at Kobler’s necklace and repeatedly smashed the victim into the store’s security sensors. The struggle lasted until a witness intervened.
