Description of Incident:
A mother and son lunch outing turned sour when a thieving family stole a 10-year-old boy’s iPad at a fast food restaurant in Cooper City. BSO is looking for the criminals.
Kay Martin, 42, and her son Justin, 10, were eating lunch at a McDonald’s restaurant on October 26, when they became the victims of a group of thieves. Justin laid his iPad on the windowsill by his table. Surveillance video shows an unidentified male as he spotted the device, sat down next to it, picked it up and headed back to his table. He and a woman at his table speak intently for a minute before the group decides to leave with the iPad in hand. The man, two women, one of which appeared to be pregnant, and two children left in a silver SUV, possibly a Dodge Journey SXT Mendota.
