TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT OPERATION

From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. September 29, 2002 in the 3900 block of NW 26th Street, Lauderdale Lakes, Florida

Broward Sheriff’s Office District 4 deputies will conduct a traffic checkpoint operation at the above location and at the above times. Vehicles will be inspected for defective safety equipment and motorists will be asked to show their driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance.

During the above traffic enforcement operation, BSO deputies will offer the CLUB steering wheel lock to Lauderdale Lakes residents who own one of the top five stolen vehicles (Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Civic, Oldsmobile Cutlass, and Jeep Cherokee).

This news release is being issued in compliance with a Supreme Court ruling mandating prior announcement of selective enforcement activities.
