Late-Night Car Burglars Caught By Surveillance Cameras

PIO #12-4-21

Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives in Pompano Beach have released surveillance video of two prolific car burglars who targeted as many as 13 vehicles in one night. They took mostly cash that the owners had left in the cars, as well as a portable DVD player, a laptop computer, compact discs and a Swiss army knife from vehicles on Southeast First Avenue in Pompano Beach. The car burglaries occurred overnight between April 19 and 20th.

The cash-hungry criminals were caught by security cameras trying to open the doors of two trucks. One suspect was wearing baggy shorts, a loose-fitting, light-colored Polo-style shirt and low white socks with sandals. The second was wearing very baggy shorts, a dark shirt and white sneakers.

Anyone who recognizes either of the car burglars can contact BSO Det. Marcus Williams at (954) 786-4256 or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at (954) 493-TIPS (8477) or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org.
