BSO LAUNCHES AID FOR HURRICANE VICTIMS

The Broward Sheriff’s Office has teamed up with Food For The Poor and several community-based organizations to collect needed food and emergency relief supplies for hurricane victims in Haiti and the Caribbean. Over the next three weeks, BSO will provide logistical support through collection locations around Broward County. The types of items needed are:

  • Canned goods (no items within 6 months from expiration)
  • Bottled water
  • Men’s, women’s, children’s and infants’ clothing in good wearable condition
  • Baby items like: bottles, formula, diapers, wipes, etc.
  • First Aid and personal hygiene items
  • Bedding
  • Flashlights, radios, batteries, etc.

Since the beginning of September, Food For The Poor has sent more than 60 shipping containers of food, water, clothing and emergency relief supplies to the affected areas.
