Firearm Safety Course

The Broward Sheriff's Office, Cooper City district, is offering a free firearm's safety course for children, ages 11-14.
 
THE COURSE WILL INCLUDE:
 
  • Safety rules for secure handgun storage
  • Discuss the responsibilities of gun owners to properly secure and store firearms
  • Discuss the dangers of toy guns versus real guns
  • Review scenarios dealing with finding firearms in the home or presenting them in public
 
*Parents are encouraged to attend with their children*
 
WHEN: October 2, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Broward Sheriff's Office, Cooper City district, 10580 Stirling Road, Cooper City
 
Refreshments and FREE gun locks will be provided.

Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.
 
If you choose to own a handgun, you must take precautions for its safe handling and storage. Too often a handgun is a magnet for a child, resulting in thousands of needless deaths and injuries.
