The Broward Sheriff's Office has developed the BikeTrack registration system to help reduce the number of bicycle thefts in Broward County and to support law enforcement officers in their efforts to recover lost or stolen bicycles.
At this time, we are only able to register bicycles for residents living in BSO's jurisdiction. For a list of areas that BSO serves, click here. If you do not live in a BSO-patrolled area, please call your local police department to inquire if they have a similar program.
Register with BikeTrack online:
Complete and submit the online form. Once it's been received by BSO, a deputy will review the information and call you to schedule an appointment to check the bike to verify the serial number and description. Due to the large number of registrations received by BSO, it may be several weeks before you are contacted by a deputy. Thanks for your patience.
Register at community events:
From time to time, BSO participates in community events throughout Broward County where bicycle registration is offered. You can register your bicycle at these events or obtain information from BSO personnel about registering online. Contact your district office for information about upcoming community events or visit your district office page on our web site to see if an event is scheduled.
If your bicycle is lost or stolen:
Contact your BSO district office to report the theft and advise the deputy taking your report that your bicycle is registered with BikeTrack. Do not call 9-1-1 to report a missing bicycle; 9-1-1 is for life-threatening emergencies only.
