Special Units
The Department of Detention and Community Control operates special units that respond to high-risk detention situations and one program that helps inmates develop a more disciplined approach to life situations:
Emergency Response Team: responds to high-risk or emergency situations occurring within a correctional facility.
Security Threat Group Initiative: identifies, monitors and tracks security risk groups within detention facilities.
Military Training Unit: BSO's military-style training camp for young offenders.
