Lieutenant Brian Montgomery He began his law enforcement career with the Plantation Police Department as a Police Service Aide in 1985, before coming to the Broward Sheriff’s Office in 1988. He started as a road patrol deputy in the West Park/Pembroke Park district and served as a district detective and sergeant in the North Broward command. In 1999, he was part of the transition team for the City of Pompano Beach and supervised the Criminal Investigation Division overseeing all investigations in the command. In 2001, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was assigned to many different administrative positions. In 2006, he was named the Executive Officer for the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Today, he serves in the same capacity in the Cooper City district. Lieutenant Montgomery is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute Command Officers Course and Chief Executive Leadership Course. He has a Master Degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
