Brett Gibson

Pretrial Services Manager

Brett Gibson joined the Broward Sheriff's Office in November 2000, as a volunteer. He was later hired as a Pretrial Specialist in April 2001, and promoted to Community Control Supervisor in March 2007. In September 2012, Mr. Gibson was promoted to Pretrial Services Program Manager where he heads the division that provides complete, accurate and non-adversarial information to judges of the 17th Judicial Circuit. The program also supervises pretrial defendants in the community ensuring that mandated conditions are satisfied. Mr. Gibson was born, raised and educated in Florida. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and Master's Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling and Education from Nova Southeastern University. He is also a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).
