Lieutenant Anthony Demarco

Executive Officer

In September of 1995, Lt. Anthony DeMarco transitioned from a career as a Broward County Educator to begin a law enforcement career with the Broward Sheriff’s Office. His first assignment was as a Road Patrol Deputy in the City of Deerfield Beach. In 1999, he was selected to serve as a School Resource Deputy and spent two years in that capacity. Lt. DeMarco holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Nova Southeastern University in addition to several professional certificates. He is also a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program hosted by Nova Southeastern University and the University of Louisville’s Southern Police Institute’s Command Officers Development Course. True to his education background, Lt. DeMarco has served as a Sergeant, Lieutenant and Acting Captain within various youth services related units during his tenure with BSO. He has played crucial roles as the Executive Lieutenant at the Central Broward District and the Ft. Lauderdale/ Hollywood International Airport District. He also served as Operations Lieutenant in the cities of North Lauderdale and Weston. From April of 2015 until May of 2017 he was assigned as the Executive Lieutenant for the Dania Beach District. In May of 2017, Lt. Anthony DeMarco returned to Weston after being named the Executive Lieutenant for the Weston/West Broward District.
