A trucker went into a Weston gas station to make a purchase and left with a woman's cellphone. Now, Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are releasing surveillance video of the burly suspect in hopes that someone can identify him.

Around 1 p.m. Dec. 28, 2017, the thief is seen on video waiting for the cashier at the Exxon, 20 Indian Trace. It takes some time to complete his transaction and not once does he tell the clerk about the victim's forgotten iPhone 6S that's on the counter. As he leaves, the suspect deftly picks up the phone with his left hand.

The thief is described as a heavy-set man with black hair, a beard and a distinctive tattoo on his left forearm. He wore a black T-shirt and a black baseball cap with a pair of shades perched on his hat. He was driving a large, white trailer with no markings on the sides.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BSO Detective K. Toro at 954-626-4009 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or www.browardcrimestoppers.org. Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.

MEDIA REPORT: Surveillance video is available on our website, www.sheriff.org.
