The search is on for the unidentified adult male who acted as the mastermind in the theft of seven cars Sunday night from Duca's Auto Sales. Pompano Beach detectives located and arrested the five juveniles, ranging in age from 13 to 15 years old, who were captured on video ransacking the dealership's office. Each teen is now facing seven counts of grand theft auto, one count of burglary and one count of grand theft.
At approximately 9:15 p.m. Feb. 4th, deputies responded to 1550 N. Andrews Avenue Extension regarding reports of three suspicious unoccupied vehicles parked on the side of Northwest 15th Court. The business' north gate was damaged and appeared to be forced open.
The five juveniles jumped the north fence of the business at approximately 6:30 p.m. and entered the lot. The suspects then entered the business through an unsecured door. In addition to stealing seven cars, the thieves took the keys to all the cars on the lot.
Detectives were able to recover the stolen vehicles but their investigation continues as they search for the adult thief and the stolen keys.
