THIRD SUSPECT SOUGHT IN NORTH LAUDERDALE MURDER

                      Rougiena Deriveire, 18, female, 4/9/99, 881 S.W. 63rd St., North Lauderdale (IN CUSTODY)


Description of Incident:


Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives are looking for a third suspect who was involved in the murder of a man found inside a burning car.

Detectives believe that Jeffrey D. Harrell, 27, is in the Miami area and participated in the killing of Darren Butler.


PIO No. 17-11-13d harrell crime stoppers flyer.JPGTwo other people have been arrested and face charges of first degree murder in relation to Butler's death. Johntavis McCoe, 26, was taken into custody in Miami on Nov. 21 and Rougiena Deriveire, 18, was arrested on Nov. 18.


Butler was discovered around 5 a.m. Nov. 14 when BSO deputies responded to a car on fire at Bicentennial Park, 6100 Kimberly Blvd. Once North Lauderdale Fire Rescue extinguished the flames, the 27-year-old's body was found in the trunk of his Pontiac G6. The homicide investigation continues.
