THIEVES STEAL MORE THAN A THOUSAND DOLLARS IN PERFUMES FROM WALGREENS

Lured by the selection of pricey perfumes at a drug store, two thieves made a beeline for the cosmetic counter of a Walgreens in North Lauderdale. The couple got away with more than a grand in merchandise.

At 4 p.m. Oct. 10, the male and female suspects were seen walking into the store at 7105 W. McNab Road. They went straight to work after the male grabbed a plastic shopping bag and handed it to his accomplice. While the female suspect kept an eye out for employees, the male suspect crouched behind the register, slid open the glass door to the perfume case and handed various fragrances to his partner.

After the first round of thievery, he stepped out from behind the counter and then repeated the sneaky maneuvers at least three more times before the pair walked out of the convenience store. Nearly 20 bottles of perfume and cologne were illegally procured.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BSO Detective Lisa Sokol at 954-722-5800. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org. Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
