Despite their attempts to elude law enforcement, Broward Sheriff's Office detectives tracked Roneil Henderson and his brother, Jeremiah Henderson, to North Carolina. The pair was wanted for the Jan. 15 armed carjacking of an elderly woman in Lauderdale Lakes. Agents from the U.S. Marshals Service arrested the brothers yesterday. BSO deputies had arrested Shaquille Dixon on Jan 18 for his part in the crime. All three teens are now facing felony carjacking charges.
Surveillance video from the afternoon of Jan. 15 shows the three teens following the victim into the store from the parking lot of the Walmart at 3001 N. State Road 7 and then reemerging into the parking lot once she had finished her shopping.
As the woman made her way back to her car, the three young robbers split up; two of them flanked the victim while a third approached from the front. He quickly pointed a gun at the victim and demanded the keys to the victim's brown 2015 Toyota Corolla. The victim complied. The three robbers fled so abruptly that they nearly struck her as they pulled out of the parking space.
