Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a cargo train in Oakland Park.

Around 3:55 a.m. Dec. 7, a northbound CSX train hit Robert Gray, of Oakland Park, near West Prospect and Powerline roads. Oakland Park Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the 38-year-old man dead at the scene. BSO's homicide and crime scene units also responded.

The train's conductor and engineer remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. No one else reported any injuries.
