BSO SHOWS ITS APPRECIATION

Clergy Appreciation Breakfast

10 a.m., Thursday, October 26

Urban League of Broward County

560 N.W. 27th Ave.

Fort Lauderdale

The Broward Sheriff's Office recognizes the important role religious leaders play in our community. Their sacrificial dedication and spiritual guidance are a blessing to so many.

"To do this critical work, spiritual leaders and their families live under tremendous pressure," Sheriff Scott Israel said. "They are always expected to set a good example, be available nearly around the clock to members of their congregation and provide comforting answers to some of life's most troubling questions and in emotionally trying times."

In honor of faith-based leaders, BSO is celebrating Clergy Appreciation Month beginning with a continental breakfast at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 26 at the Urban League of Broward County, located at 560 N.W. 27th Ave. in Fort Lauderdale.

Cox Media radio personality Wendell Ford, who's heard Sunday mornings on 99JAMZ, will preside over the event, and the day's inspirational message will be delivered by guest speaker Pastor George Bowles from Bread of Life Christian Center. BSO employees would like to take this opportunity to thank the clergy of our community for their continued dedicated service.
